There's the word, and there's the meaning. Then there's the context.

I'm no expert with the language, I do commit grammatical errors. But I do find something wrong with how he utilized the word "palpable", hence the initiating query. To be objective, here's a brief background on the twat. (Kindly disregard the "online status". I'm not seriously looking for any.)

If you've noticed, I did check a dictionary. So, here's how our short conversation went:

oh and if you do have access to PR you'd get to see his current headline, which read as follows:

am i just lonely or am i just naturally horny? hahaha

I didn't really understand what just happened.

What happened? He checked the dictionary online, saw that the word "palpable" is synonymous to "obvious" without realizing that the two aren't automatically interchangeable in every context.

Just shrug your shoulders. =)

1. He's right with the dictionary. But he was wrong in using the word. I'm not expert in grammar but the guy is obviously trying to sound intellectual when he's not.

from Free Dictionary:

Palpable: Easily perceived; obvious:

Nobody uses the word "Palpable" in plain speak. He could have said, "effeminate men," "flamboyant boys" "soft-spoken and gentle mannered." or the crude. "straight-acting and very discreet only." But no, pinasakit pa niya ang ulo mo.

And by the way, the way he described himself sounds so cliche, It's pa-cute, subject to many interpretations, and worse, he is looking for a guy who he is not. (read: Palpable.)

Pasensya na sa mahabang comment. I just want you to know that I'd get confused with his description too.

Good Morning. :)

parang natunaw ata utak ko sa BTW1-3 niya. tingin ko "probably" ata yung ibig niyang sabihin. haha. Anyway1, hayaan na natin ang mga ganyan. Anyway2, ika nga nila, "walang basagan ng trip" :D

and you really took some time to ask him, hahahaha!

Sorry, but I don't really like how that goes, "Walang basagan ng trip."

It's one of my pet peeve when someone takes a word out of it's context. Plus, kabasagbasag ang bayag nya - este trip.

Kaya ko rin talaga napansin tong profile na to e dahil sa "palpable". I use "palpable" everyday.

Pareho tayo ng naisip with regards to how he describes himself.
However I did not get confused with his descriptions. He's simply inconsistent.

First, I had to check if he really knows what he's talking about.

Second, when I'm annoyed or irked by another person's doing, I express it by asking, with a certain tone.

Sipain ko muna bayag nya, then shrug shoulders.

A pet peeve of mine.

He's just a wreck.

Hahaha! Okay then. Bayagan mo muna, but then flip your hair first! And then, shrug your shoulders. :P
